Membership

Wandong Live Steamers offers something rare in the model engineering fraternity in that we do not hold public running days. Other Victorian clubs are, in most cases, obligated as a term of their occupancy to provide public entertainment - they must haul passengers.

Wandong has no such requirement and members run for their own pleasure - with many hauling scale freight wagons rather than paying visitors. The "down side" however, is that everything you see has to be paid for by the members, as there is no other income.

Joining Fees

Due to the large costs involved in building facilities there is a one off joining fee.

Annual Fees

Annual Membership Fees are used to cover the annual costs of running the club and are subject to review.

Insurance

Wandong Live Steamers Insurance is paid for by members over and above the yearly membership fee and is subject to review every year.

Other Fees

As Wandong Live Steamers has no income other than membership and joining fees, the members may be asked to contribute extra money to fund works, maintenance or lease charges should membership income be insufficient to fund projects or compulsory charges.
